A Light on the Hill

A Light on the Hill
by Connilyn Cossette

If you love historical fiction this books takes it to another level!
Such fascinating detail to the biblical times when the Israelites are settling and the tribes are dividing up their land.

"A Light on the Hill" is the story of Moriyah, a faithful young women who has sheltered herself from her shame and has been hidden away in her father's home for seven years.
Seven years ago she was kidnapped, along with her friend, and held captive in Jericho.  While there she was branded by a Priestess with the mark of a Caananite God on her face.
She survived to see Jericho fall she is rescued, only to imprison herself upon her return to her father's home.
Moriyah's father fears what will happen to her once he is not there to protect her, he finds a man willing to marry her to care for his two sons.
Moriyah is afraid but also hopeful that someone will see beyond her scars.
As she is preparing dinner for her family and her soon-to-be betrothed, something goes wrong.
Suddenly Moriyah is fleeing for her life - she must get to the City of Refuge before she is killed.
Follow the story as she tried to get there safely.
Full of danger, excitement, and amazing descriptive detail you want to get to the end and ensure she is safe, yet you don't want this story to end.

I loved this book!  I was given a complimentary copy from Bethany House through their Blogger Program but this review is my own!
