I love shoes!  I buy them when I like the look, I buy them when they are comfortable, trendy, a cool color, you name it!  I even buy them when they don't quite fit! (yikes)

So I have a couple pair of booties and a couple pair of pumps that I really like, but can only wear when I know I'm not going to be walking much or wearing them for a very long period.

So when I got the opportunity to review the MEDca Shoe Stretchers pictured above, I was anxious to try them on my slightly unwearable but really lovely shoes!  

These shoe stretchers are really two plastic rounded sides, with an attached screw, that twists into the middle piece, allowing you to adjust how far apart each end is, so that you can slide it into your shoe, tightly, so they can do their stretching job.  It seems like an easy enough task, but it has to be adjusted outside of the shoe, which makes it a little harder. You put the shoe stretchers in and out of your shoes until you finally get to the right length where they fit in tight enough to stretch, but not too tight that they won't fit where you want them, or slide right out.  The ends are a brown, smooth, plastic piece.  What I had trouble with was finding the right distance and getting them in the shoe.  I also had trouble with the smooth finish, which makes them want to slide back up, which isn't going to help your shoe stretch!  It would be easier if you could adjust the stretcher while it was in the shoe.

So, in conclusion, the MEDca Shoe Stretchers work in certain situations, they did stretch my pumps a bit and do feel better when wearing them around the house.  I couldn't get them inside my boots, I just didn't find the right distance where they would fit tight and seem like they would do any stretching of the shoe.  When I did get them in there where they would seem to do good, they would slip.  This might have been due to the felt-like, soft material inside the boot.

Dry Winter Skin?  Want to combat signs of aging?  Looking for plumping hydration?  The Ultra Plumping Hydration Mask by Valentia might be just what you need!  

I want to first tell you about my skin.  My face can be very dry at any time of the year, but it is much more noticeable, and I feel it much more, in the dry air of fall and winter!  I am also experiencing fine lines and wrinkles, all year long, any day, any time!  So, therefore, I am always on the hunt for a product, or a group of products that will alleviate any and all these issues!

When I was offered the chance to try, use, and review the Ultra Plumping Hydration Mask by Valentia, I was very interested to do so.  I mean, a woman in my shoes, trying to fight mother nature, a skin care junkie, always hunting for new and better products - of course I want to try this!  Just reading the name of this product piqued my interest and desire to try it!

So, the mask came in a very pretty white, gold-trimmed box, inside was a 4 oz. white tub containing the mask!  Very Simple but Classy Packaging!  The box indicates the following benefits:  Boosts Collagen Production, Increases Skin Radiance, Reduces Fine Lines, Secures Skin Moisture!  Awesome!

The ingredients are listed on the bottom of the box, and on the sides of the box are 6 key natural ingredients and their benefits.  Valentia is giving you so much information!

  Japanese Green Tea - potent anti-oxidants

Aloe Vera - nutrient-rich botanical moisturizer

Organic Rosehip Seed Oil - essential fatty acids to lock in moisture

Silk Protein Amino Acid Blend - increase moisture and help in the production of collagen

These are the facts from the packaging, consolidated by me!  Lots of good information and great natural ingredients!  I just wanted to give some background about the mask before I give my opinion!  And another note, since my purchase - I have received two emails from Valentia giving me more information about their product and how to use and benefit from it.

So,  you will notice upon opening the product is the product's color and it's consistency!  A bright yellow-orange gel-like product!  This mask is cooling when applying - it is recommended to use once per week.  Apply to skin, avoiding eye area, leave on 15-30 minutes, wash off with washcloth and warm water!  The mask is not your usual, it is gel-like, doesn't get dry and tight on your skin, it just moisturizes and gets a bit sticky.  

I have used this product only two times so far, and I am sold!  I love the way it makes my skin feel, it feels soft and nourished!  The skin softness is noticeable for a couple of days!  If you lose moisture, sweat, or are in the sun, you can use this mask more often!  

In this photo (please excuse it!) I have the mask on and it is tingling and moisturizing!  You can see that it is invisible in the photo - it goes on clear and you do not need much, so this 4 oz tub should last quite some time!  I left it on for the full 30 minutes because I wanted the full potential benefits!

I have had a very positive experience with the Valentia Ultra Plumping Hydration Mask, and just as the email from Valentia Skin Care - "...using a hydration mask is a fantastic way to replenish skin's moisture and help protect it from further water loss."  And another message from Valentia "...we never use harmful or irritating ingredients in our products."

Wow, what a VoxBox loaded with great L'oreal products!  The complete Volume Filler line!  The volume filler line is a series of products meant to treat and moisturize using the science of hyaluronic acid.  The regimen I received contained the following products.  I'll list the products and what the will do for your skin.  Two products are meant to treat your skin and two products included to moisturize your skin.

Treat

1.  Eye Treatment - to reduce under-eye hollows and sunken shadows.

2.  Concentrated Serum - intensive face serum to replenish skin's fullness.

Moisturize

1.  Day Cream - replenish skins fullness, smooth lines and fine wrinkles.

2.  Night Cream - recover skin's fullness while sleeping, smooth lines and wrinkles.

I have been using these products as directed for about three weeks and I have to say my face feels much softer and looks fuller and smoother.  As directed the products work together to treat and soften your skin, and provide a fuller volume look.  

The eye treatment is what I use first, on a clean face.  A little dot or two under each eye and apply around and under each eye.  Second I use the concentrated serum, just a couple pumps of the container and smooth over face, chin, and neck.  

The unique containers for the eye treatment and serum have a small plastic tip where you can dispense just a small amount.

After using these two products you can use either the day cream or the night cream.  The day cream blends in well and releases any tightness and creates a smooth, silky soft feel to your face.  The night cream is a bit thicker and really moisturizes while you sleep.

I'm a big fan of L'oreal products and this is another great product line!  I received these products free from L'oreal Paris and influenster to use and review and share my thoughts and opinions.

As a member of the Generation Good Forum I was able to join a mission and received free samples of the Seventh Generation Laundry Detergent.  I was sent a box with three one-load sized samples.  Part of the mission was to use two and share one!  I shared one with a co-worker, and used the others for my laundry.

The first thing I noticed was the packaging.  In keeping with their green and eco-friendly purpose, the samples came in heavy duty paper containers, containing enough detergent for one load each.  

Also in the box with the samples was an information card with a $2 off coupon.  The information card tells you a bit about this detergent.  100% Clean - 0% Toxic  Free & Clear of dyes, fragrances, and artificial brighteners!  The detergent comes ultra concentrated - 1oz of detergent is all you need for one load!  I admit I was afraid this would mean no suds, such a small amount!

But that wasn't the case!  Lots of suds and lots of cleaning power.  

White I usually prefer a scent for my laundry - I have to say I didn't really miss it, and you can get scent from your fabric softener or dryer sheets.  

Besides the bonus of 0% toxic and 100% clean - the Seventh Generation is easy on your skin.  If you have someone in your family with sensitive skin then this is a detergent you should try!  

I have a couple of my children with somewhat sensitive skin, so this is a great way to clean their clothing and not worry about any skin irritations to them.

Crown Coast Heavy Duty Umbrella Review #CrownCoastUmbrella

The only thing worse than being caught in the rain without an umbrella might be having an umbrella that snaps in the wind!  

Leaving you exposed AND annoyed!

I was recently able to receive a CrownCoast Heavy Duty Umbrella at a discount to use and provide a review.  The umbrella is the CrownCoast Wind Hero Pro Travel Umbrella #CrownCoastUmbrella.

This CrownCoast umbrella has a lifetime warranty and will be replaced or your money back.  The information is provided by CrownCoast for me to use in my testing.  I verified all the attributes of this umbrella that I can in a usage test!  

This umbrella feels sturdy, had a nice large canopy (big enough for two comfortably!),  and lots of extras! The canopy is 100% polyester, non-absorbent, water repellent and mold and mildew resistant. It is also treated with an anti-corrosion layer.  The stainless steel frame won't rust.  

This is a telescoping travel umbrella and has an auto open and close feature.  The handle is large enough to hold easily with a nice rubbery textured surface.  The handle has two arrow buttons, one to open and one to snap it closed.  When you hit the button to open it telescopes automatically and the umbrella opens.  Nice one handed operation.  When you use the auto close feature it closes the canopy and then you just push the umbrella rod back into it's travel size.  Close the umbrella tightly with it's velcro strap.  It even comes with a matching pouch for storage.  This is pretty much all you need to know to use and operate your umbrella.

The construction of the umbrella is heavy duty and has been wind-tested to sustain up to 60 mph winds.  This means that if the umbrella snaps inside out - it should not break but snap back to it's umbrella shape without damage.  The middle section of the ribs has a "reverse action relief joint, which  is where tension is relieved allowing the umbrella to be flipped inside out and then back to it's original shape."  The bottom section of each of the ribs is a fiberglass rode that is strong but flexible.

I'm very satisfied with this umbrella and it will remain in my car so I have it with me when I need it!  I'm looking forward to sitting in some rainy baseball games this Spring and will have my #CrownCoastUmbrella to take care of me!

Since I am testing my umbrella in the winter - I have only used it in the rain once.  It protected me well and I was happy with it's performance.

Lastly I would like to note the super customer service of CrownCoast - while testing my umbrella at home I was attempting to try having it flip out and back in as is mentioned above.  When I did this (incorrectly) one of the fiberglas rods broke out of it's place.  See above!

I emailed them and received a response just a few hours later!  I am receiving a new umbrella as per their guarantee!
