KISS True Volume Lashes

Well, I've never used 'fake' eyelashes before and wasn't sure how to even begin applying these!  The #JingleVoxBox came with a set of KISS True Volume Lashes and a tube of adhesive!  So I read the directions, checked out the pictures, and re-read the directions!  The 3-step process sounded easy enough - looked easy enough - on the package!  But how does one apply these precisely where they need to go?  How about if you are a person who wears glasses and is far-sighted and can't see your eyes or eye lashes without your glasses?  Hmmm.   But this is one of the products in the voxbox and I'm going to try it and I'm going to earn that badge!

Three simple steps!  And that is pretty much the truth...after a few failed attempts, and some trial and error.  Just like everything in the world.

Three easy steps - 1.  Check fit, lay them on your natural lashes and trim if necessary.
                              2.  Apply KISS adhesive to the lash band, wait 30 seconds for the adhesive to become slightly clear and tacky. (In my case I was given black adhesive and this might have added to my failure in the beginning!)
                              3.  Apply lashes along your natural lash line.  Hold allowing adhesive to dry completely.

That's it, no biggie!

I was given a tube of KISS strip lash adhesive with aloe - BLACK.  I think the black adhesive is what made this more difficult.  I fitted the lashes, they were perfect length - check.  So far, so good!  Apply adhesive to the lash band - check.  Again, so far, so good!

So far looking good.  And eventually it was - in this picture above I think I put on about 3x the amount of adhesive needed - I waited for the required 30 seconds for the adhesive to become tacky and applied to my natural lash line!  The excess black adhesive was pretty much everywhere.  On my fingers, holding the lashes as they were trying to hold the lashes in place - smeared on my eyelid, etc.
Not an attractive picture.  Plus I couldn't really see because I need my glasses for this up-close technical work!

Failed attempt #1, of which there were a couple more.  So I put them away for a few days, feeling really un-ladylike!  This should be a hereditary ability, a no-brainer, I am a woman after-all.  This should be an ingrained and natural talent.  And maybe it is, but not if you can't see.

So, undaunted, and after a great idea came to me - I went to the 20x magnification mirror in my daughter's room!  Aha - this should help me see!  And it did help!  Along with the fact that I didn't need much, hardly any, adhesive.  Less adhesive, less smearing and smudging!  Yeah!  I got them to work!  They went on - they stayed on!

So here they are - full pretty lashes - on top of my natural lashes!  Once you get them on - you're gonna love them.

I would recommend these when you are going to attend a special event, party, holiday gathering - when you really want that festive extra! Or anytime you just want to feel or look special!

KISS True Volume lashes really filled in my natural lashes - but didn't seem obvious and gaudy.
They just improved what was there - they look amazing and you feel pretty amazing with them on!

I was given the KISS True Volume Lashes and Adhesive in the JingleVoxBox from influenster to try out the products and share my opinions, pictures, and review!
